Apple Juice - A Glass a Day Keeps The Doctor Away

An Apple a Day or a Glass of Apple Juice
In addition to tasting really good, apple juice has many health benefits. It helps combat irregularity, improves digestion, cleans both the liver and kidneys, and helps remove toxins from your body. Studies have shown that consuming apple juice can contribute in a significant way towards reducing LDL – the “bad” cholesterol. Apple juice is also rich in potassium which can help folks who suffer from rheumatism or arthritis.
Some reports suggest that apple juice when combined with honey and milk helps nerve cells increase the production of neurotransmitters, such as acetylcholine. Acetylcholine enhances the communication between the nerve cells and this may in turn improve memory (if I could just remember where I put the apple juice…).
Apple juice is also loaded with polyphenolic antioxidants which have been shown effective in fighting certain cancers. Finally, there’s good news for your lungs; apple juice is effective in reducing asthma attacks. In fact a British study has shown that kids who drink apple juice on a daily basis were less likely to develop asthmatic problems later in life.
Perhaps the best news of all is that a small study conducted at the University of Massachusetts has demonstrated that apple juice can greatly reduce the chances of developing Alzheimer’s. The study reported that drinking fresh apple juice only three times per week, reduces your chances of getting Alzheimer's by 75%. Even people who already have Alzheimer’s have shown improvements in both memory and mood by consuming apple juice.
Now, if I could just find my keys, I could go to the store and get some apple juice and start enjoying all those benefits.
